西營盤之感想
天啊!你怎麼對我這樣好！中秋節耍樂過後，可以去到西營盤實地考察一些本地文化事
物。雖然有我組的同學遲到，更有些同學仍似未醒一樣，所以考察時大家的步伐很配
合這個地方，都是比較慢。在西營盤可以找到東方的感覺。它是香港最老的城區，從
這裡可以看到香港的過去同陰間之風光，這裡有一個很特別的行業就是做棺材。這裡
還保留著幾家棺材鋪，可以看到一些工人在打磨棺木，熨平絲綢壽衣。在附近的幾家
出售各種壽衣和喪禮用品，貨架上擺滿了香燭和紙錢，外面還擺放著紙做的跑車、桌
上電腦和音樂伴唱組合(Karaoke)，供死者在陰間享用。
我認為每個民族都有獨特的喪葬風俗，中國人多以物表達情感同生活融合。中國真是
一個重情的民族，各葬禮的演變基本上都是為死去的人著想，希望他們能夠在九泉之
下安息，這就是對先人的緬懷思念！時至今日，表現中國人深受傳統儒家思想影響，
同樣希望先人在陰間過得好一點。同時也清楚看到中國人有不可擺脫的階級觀念，死
後一定要風光，上述觀念已普遍深入民間。我也開心可以親身體會到本地儒家思想。
沒有事情是不變的，大笪地同荷李活道也有過一段興旺時期，戰前這裡晚間曾經是一
般勞動大眾消遣之所。今天的荷李活道已不復昔日的旺盛，而大笪地亦已改建為休憩
公園，眼見只有老人在玩賭局耍樂。這些也只因西營盤受戰爭﹑衛生﹑宗教﹑商業影
響，才出現今天西營盤社區境況。這一切使我大開眼界！也使我感到受當時大眾平民
的生活是什樣的。

國際駕駛許可證
如你是本港居民及持有 有效的 香港正式駕駛執照，又想在香港以外地區駕駛車輛，你可申領 國際駕駛許可證。你應填妥指定申請表格TD51(430KB)，連同兩張相片及所需費用一併遞交各牌照事務處辦理。請注意，該許可證在簽發日期起計一年內有效。

Overseas drivers - licences (VIC) The requirement to change your overseas driver licence to a Victorian driver licence depends on whether your stay in Victoria is permanent or temporary.
If you are in Victoria on a temporary visa, you can drive on your overseas licence (provided it is current and valid) for an indefinite period provided your overseas licence is in English (or you have an English translation or an International Driving Permit).
If you are in Victoria on a permanent visa issued under the Migration Act 1958, you may drive on your overseas licence for three months from the date you first entered Australia or from the time the permanent visa was issued to you (whichever is the later). If you want to continue to drive in Victoria after this time you must hold a valid Victorian driver licence.
New Zealand residents who hold a current licence are treated as interstate drivers.
Licence TranslationsIf your licence is in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by an English translation. The translation is at your own cost.
VicRoads only accepts translations completed by: a NAATI accredited (any level) translator, or an official translation from the country of origin, or appropriate consulate in Australia.
An International Driver Permit is acceptable as a translation of a driver licence.

Who is a temporary overseas visitor?If you are not an Australian citizen or not a permanent residentof Australia you are considered to be a temporary overseasvisitor. Temporary overseas visitors can include:-Tourists.-Business people on limited-duration visits.-People studying or working temporarily (eg working visaholders) in NSW.
